Gloria Steinem has some thoughts on this whole Palin thing: It’s not about a piece of the pie.  It’s about a whole new PIE.

Please, understand that I’m a neo-feminist (as I was termed today.)  I don’t believe that women have the right to be anything a man is.  I believe that women have the right to be ANYTHING THEY WANT TO BE.  Parent, CEO, spelunker, soldier, farmer, model, hair stylist, waitress, senator, president.

And that men have the same right. 

And that it says nothing about their sexual prowess, their preferences, their personality, or their upbringing.  As long as you can do the job, it doesn’t matter about the details of gender, preference, religion, race, etc.

I think that makes me a humanist.  But I digress.  Read Gloria - it’s awesome.
