Let Endorsements Ring…
Today has been a boring day up until now - till I found out that:
- The LATimes, which hasn’t endorsed a candidate in 36 years, decided to endorse Barack Obama
- The Washington Post has endorsed Barack Obama
- The Chicago Tribune, in a move that was described as “Is that chill coming from hell?”, endorsed Barack Obama - supporting a democrat for the first time in its 161 year history.
- The Chicago Sun-Times will be endorsing Barack Obama on Sunday
- San Francisco Chronicle has endorsed Barack Obama
- The son of William F. Buckley, of the National Review, endorsed Barack Obama…and lost his job with his ancestral paper.
- The Boston Globe endorsed Barack Obama
This makes me excited about newspapers again. I feel like picking one of each one up. Perhaps I will.
Other great endorsement and interesting articles to read:
- New Yorker
- New York Magazine’s Et Tu GOP?
- Conservative Talk Radio Host Endorsement
And a fun little thing to do: Go to FoxNews.com and search for endorse, endorses, and endorsements. You’ll find…that the Reform Party and the NRA endorses McCain - oh, and this article hidden in the corner. When is FoxNews putting out its endorsement?
(edity edit edit: Mistake on the Washington Post being right-leaning.)
